hair | for when you want some extra sleep
I am one of those people who has to leave the house feeling somewhat put together. I used to be one of those people who just HAD to do her hair every morning before I could leave. That got old real quick, especially when I had to get up for an earlier work shift about a year ago. I figured out a way to take care of my shower and hair the night before - so I could fit in a few extra winks of sleep in the morning.
For curly waves, here’s an easy hair trick:
Some tips: I sometimes get impatient and put my hair up while it’s still a little too wet. You can fix this in the morning by blow-drying your bun a bit with a hair-dryer. If, when you take it down, it’s still a little damp, blow it dry with the hair-dryer on low or with a diffuser on the end. Only for a few seconds. Then style and hairspray and you should be set.
If I’m feeling especially lazy, I’ll often just wash my bangs the next morning and will style my curls in a messy bun. Effortless, but still cute.
PS - I also find that it’s absolutely necessary to wear a granny nightie while doing this. Absolutely necessary.
